October 17, 2013: We are super-thrilled and proud to announce that we have been voted as Best Art Gallery in the Washington Post's Express Best of 2013 list!

 

 

"Back to Black" Costume Party

October 26, 2013: The artists of Studio 4, Old Town shed their colors and challenge themselves to step outside their usual bold palettes for this black and white exhibit.

Join them for a fun COSTUME PARTY reception! Artful prizes will be given out for:
  - Best Costume
  - Best Amy Winehouse Costume

This event is FREE and open to the public. Exhibit runs through the month of October.

The Neuro-Diversity Project

September 2013: The artists of Studio 4, Old Town in Alexandria, VA are collaborating with a group of children on the autism spectrum to create a body of work that will hang in the Studio 4, Old Town gallery the month of September. Project creator, artist and mother to a child on the autism spectrum, Gina Cochran has paired professional artist volunteers to work with the children one on one. "We wanted to give these children a chance to not only experience the creative process WITH someone else, but also to know the joy and pride that comes from seeing your work hanging in a show."

"My partners John Gascot, MG Stout and I did a Kickstarter campaign back in April to raise the money to buy all of the supplies for this 50 canvas show. It is our hope that the proceeds from the show in September will fund another year of supplies for workshops with the children and hopefully make this an annual show at Studio 4, Old Town."

The exhibition will be on display for the entire month of September at Studio 4, Old Town.

Opening reception: Saturday, September 14, 2013, 4pm - 7pm; R.S.V.P. on Facebook.
